Hola!
I’m Viri and I am glad you’re here
Founder & Therapist at Nareh Counseling
I believe that healing doesn’t mean forgetting your past. It means learning to hold it differently.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I help adults navigate the complex intersections of culture, identity, and emotional pain. My role is to walk beside you as you rediscover your strength and learn new ways to connect with yourself and others.
My Story
As an immigrant woman from Mexico and a bilingual therapist, I understand how culture, family, expectations, and identity shape our emotional world. Living in both Latin America and Utah, I have seen how people in each culture experience change, loss, and adaptation in ways that can leave deep emotional imprints that often go unspoken.
I have dedicated my career to understanding those emotional imprints, the ones many call trauma. Over the years, I’ve learned how trauma can live in the body, how it impacts our sense of safety and connection, and how it influences our overall health and well-being. I’ve also witnessed how healing becomes possible when we are seen, supported, and guided by both compassion and science.
Creating Nareh Counseling was my way of building the kind of space where people can slow down enough to listen, connect, and heal, but also find the courage and momentum to grow. Healing doesn’t mean standing still; it means moving forward at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. My focus is to offer a compassionate and inclusive space where adults, especially those navigating trauma, cultural identity, or emotional overwhelm, can begin to reclaim a sense of peace and wholeness.
My Approach
Therapy with me feels like slowing down enough to finally listen to yourself again. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, practical, and deeply human.
My work integrates tools from:
CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing to bring structure and clarity.
Polyvagal Theory and neuroscience-informed care, to help you understand your nervous system and create lasting emotional regulation.
A trauma-informed and culturally grounded lens, so you feel safe to bring your full story into the room.
Together, we’ll explore what’s happening inside you and around you, your relationships, patterns, and beliefs, with curiosity and care. My role is to walk beside you, helping you connect insight to action and healing to daily life.
What It’s Like to Work Together
You’ll feel heard.
You’ll learn to notice your emotions, not fear them.
You’ll build the tools and insight to respond to life differently.
You’ll begin to see yourself not as “broken,” but as becoming whole again.
You’ll feel challenged and empowered to continue healing.
Therapy with me is collaborative. We’ll walk through discomfort gently, celebrate progress, and build a relationship rooted in trust and compassion.

I love discovering new places and cultures, and I’m always open to adventures that make space for presence, laughter, and connection.
